Helping None-technical Founders Lunch Their Tech Product

On Wednesday 13th November 2019 over 25 students and emerging entrepreneurs participated in a workshop at Henley Business School to educate themselves about launching their first tech product delivered by Steve Smith, CPO of Wildgoose, hosted by Reading Entrepreneurs, Entrepreneurship Society at University of Reading.

The event was opened by Julia Kala, the President of Reading Entrepreneurs & Founder of Brighter Future Project who welcomed and introduced Steve Smith, CPO of Wildgoose. Steve has covered the journey from idea through to execution, utilising his first-hand knowledge of working in the tech scene for the last 8 years.

Due to a growing trend in “No-code” software tools which help non-technical founders launch their tech product. Steve also introduced:

• Search Engine Optimisation
• App Store Optimisation
• analytics
• social media marketing.

All this gave great insight for attendees into the entrepreneur’s IT reality for emerging ideas, and new ventures. Steve also shared his personal story of how he started, his personal story, first tech app, development of Airbrite with all challenges he faced and merging process with one of their bigger clients Wildgoose alongside any tips and advice they had. The important part of the vent was time for attendees to ask specific questions and get tips and advice from first-hand tech entrepreneur. The event has been highlighted with a networking session at the end which allowed attendees to practice their networking skills over tons of pizza and drinks. What students think about the event:
